Tara

In her words

How she got here

Tara has been dancing since the age of 12 and has studied a wide variety of dance styles throughout her journey. Her passion for movement and dedication to her craft eventually led her to Sensual Movement, where she joined the team as an Elite Dancer in 2022.

In 2025, Tara began teaching for Sensual Movement and stepped into the role of Manager of the New York location. She is passionate about sharing her love of dance, creating meaningful connections, and helping others grow through movement.

Tara is incredibly happy and grateful to be part of the Sensual Movement bachata family and proud to represent what she believes is the best dance company in the USA.

What she does

Three roles

Most people at Sensual Movement do one of these. Tara does all three.

Since 2025

Manager, New York

Runs the New York location — the weekly classes at Pearl Studios and the two social nights that follow them.

Since 2022

Elite dancer

On the performance team that represents Sensual Movement at festivals, socials and workshops. She is the team’s only New York name.

Since 2025

Instructor

One of the teachers on the Wednesday and Friday rotation, beginner and intermediate — not the weekly class programme at Pearl.

Where to find her

At the socials, on rotation

Both social nights open with a complimentary class at nine before the dancing starts. Tara is one of the teachers on that rotation — beginner and intermediate — but it changes from week to week, so do not travel expecting a particular teacher.
