Instructors
Three questions get answered here: who teaches the class you are about to book, who teaches the free class at the socials, and who are the artists flown in for the festivals. They are not the same people.
New York, every week
If you book a class in Midtown, one of these four is in the room. Two of them have no profile on this site.
New York City
Luis teaches Level 2 and Level 3 on Tuesdays. Tayler teaches Styling.
Tayler Stinnett came to New York from Kentucky and trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop and musical theatre before Latin dance — she studied at the Institute for American Musical Theatre and was dance captain for Broadway Dance Lab. She teaches Styling for Sensual Movement.

@brunoybeckyofficial
Miami

San Diego
Kat was raised in Guatemala and came from ballet and contemporary; Josue is from Detroit and came from breaking and hip hop. Both trained in ballroom. Their teaching centres on making a room where dancers can experiment safely.

@AYJBACHATA
Spain
Spanish champions in 2010, European champions in 2011, world champions in 2012. Arguably the most widely known bachata couple working today, and the pair who did most to define sensual bachata as a style.

The form asks for years dancing, years teaching, your Instagram, any company affiliation, certifications and references — so it is worth gathering those before you start.

At the socials
The free class at nine
Both social nights open with a complimentary class before the dancing starts — the usual way people begin. It is taught on rotation by the Sensual Movement team and the teacher changes from week to week, so there is no one name to give. Tara is the member of that rotation with a profile on this site.
New York City
Tara
One of the teachers on the Wednesday and Friday rotation — beginner and intermediate.
Manager of the New York location and an elite dancer with the company since 2022. She has been dancing since the age of 12 and began teaching for Sensual Movement in 2025.
